Covid-19 Information

At the club gym and spa our mission has always been to provide a welcoming and safe environment for all our members to enjoy.

During this time, we feel our facilities have never been so vital to our members, both for physical, mental health and wellbeing. The feedback we have received from you has been tremendous and the way in which our community of members have responded in engaging in all the measures we have in place to ensure everyone’s safety has been second to none.

From everyone at the club we would like to say a huge thanks for your patience, your loyalty and for supporting us every step of the way.

We look forward to the day when the current situation has resolved itself and we can fully open up all our facilities and activities.

COVID Promise

We want to ensure your peace of mind during these strange times and ensure you are not going to be charged if we have to close.

So, in addition to the extensive measures we have in place for reducing the risk of COVID, we are making you an additional promise.

If the Scottish Government put a national / regional lockdown in place where the club is forced to close its doors, we will freeze your membership for free for the period we remain closed.

Terms and conditions:

  • The Freezing Promise applies to all existing memberships

  • The Freezing Promise is valid whenever we are forced to close due to Scottish Government guidance

  • Freezing only applies whilst government measures are in place

  • Standard membership terms and conditions still apply

  • Your Statutory Rights are not affected

Covid Measures We Have in Place

Hand Sanitiser

Hand sanitiser has been placed at the entrance to the club and at various points throughout the facility so it is easy to ensure your hands are clean during your visit. Please ensure you use these when entering the facilities.

Keeping a safe distance

We have ensured that our changing rooms, pool area and gym have been laid out so that our members have the space to maintain social distancing within our facilities.

We have also introduced a booking system for each area of the facility so that you are not queuing and know we will never be busier than the guidelines we have set ourselves.

Air filtration

In addition to our existing air system we have installed a new air intake and filtration system within the gym and studio area and in the pool our air system has been adjusted to ensure the largest amounts of fresh air are coming into the facilities. This ensures that any airborne virus particles are diluted and members have clean fresh air during their work out, swim or class.

Cleaning

We have introduced breaks during the day so that the team can go into areas and concentrate on cleaning down equipment and areas with anti-viral disinfectant. We have introduced extra time between classes to allow for cleaning.

Member Self-cleaning

We have provided anti-viral disinfectant sprays around the facilities so that you can clean your kit before and after use for added piece of mind. There is enough so that you can take these with you from machine to machine and not have to return the spray to the cleaning station until you have finished your workout. We have also provided anti-viral spray within the changing rooms for the those using the pool so you can also have that extra peace of mind.

FAQs

Q: When will the Club reopen?

A: The pool facilities reopened on Monday 14 September 2020. The Gym will reopen on Sunday 25 October 2020.

Q: What are the Club’s opening hours?

A: We will be reducing our opening hours slightly when the pool reopens to the following:

  • Monday - Friday: 7am – 8pm

Q: When will classes be running?

A: Unfortunately, our fitness classes will, for the present time, not be running due to current Scottish government guidance.

Q: Are you restricting numbers in the gym and pool?

A: We will be restricting numbers who use areas within the facility in line with current government guidance. All members will need to book a set time slot to use each area to ensure that we can keep track of the people using an area and the numbers who are in that area at any one time.

Each person will have an allocated time of 10 minutes for changing prior to entering the pool and 10 minutes after usage of the pool.
