At the club gym and spa our mission has always been to provide a welcoming and safe environment for all our members to enjoy.
During this time, we feel our facilities have never been so vital to our members, both for physical, mental health and wellbeing. The feedback we have received from you has been tremendous and the way in which our community of members have responded in engaging in all the measures we have in place to ensure everyone’s safety has been second to none.
From everyone at the club we would like to say a huge thanks for your patience, your loyalty and for supporting us every step of the way.
We look forward to the day when the current situation has resolved itself and we can fully open up all our facilities and activities.
We want to ensure your peace of mind during these strange times and ensure you are not going to be charged if we have to close.
So, in addition to the extensive measures we have in place for reducing the risk of COVID, we are making you an additional promise.
If the Scottish Government put a national / regional lockdown in place where the club is forced to close its doors, we will freeze your membership for free for the period we remain closed.
Terms and conditions:
The Freezing Promise applies to all existing memberships
The Freezing Promise is valid whenever we are forced to close due to Scottish Government guidance
Freezing only applies whilst government measures are in place
Standard membership terms and conditions still apply
Your Statutory Rights are not affected
Covid Measures We Have in Place
Hand sanitiser has been placed at the entrance to the club and at various points throughout the facility so it is easy to ensure your hands are clean during your visit. Please ensure you use these when entering the facilities.
Keeping a safe distance
We have ensured that our changing rooms, pool area and gym have been laid out so that our members have the space to maintain social distancing within our facilities.
We have also introduced a booking system for each area of the facility so that you are not queuing and know we will never be busier than the guidelines we have set ourselves.
In addition to our existing air system we have installed a new air intake and filtration system within the gym and studio area and in the pool our air system has been adjusted to ensure the largest amounts of fresh air are coming into the facilities. This ensures that any airborne virus particles are diluted and members have clean fresh air during their work out, swim or class.
We have introduced breaks during the day so that the team can go into areas and concentrate on cleaning down equipment and areas with anti-viral disinfectant. We have introduced extra time between classes to allow for cleaning.
We have provided anti-viral disinfectant sprays around the facilities so that you can clean your kit before and after use for added piece of mind. There is enough so that you can take these with you from machine to machine and not have to return the spray to the cleaning station until you have finished your workout. We have also provided anti-viral spray within the changing rooms for the those using the pool so you can also have that extra peace of mind.
Q: When will the Club reopen?
A: The pool facilities reopened on Monday 14 September 2020. The Gym will reopen on Sunday 25 October 2020.
Q: What are the Club’s opening hours?
A: We will be reducing our opening hours slightly when the pool reopens to the following:
Monday - Friday: 7am – 8pm
Saturday and Sunday: 9am – 6pm
Q: When will classes be running?
A: Unfortunately, our fitness classes will, for the present time, not be running due to current Scottish government guidance.
Q: Are you restricting numbers in the gym and pool?
A: We will be restricting numbers who use areas within the facility in line with current government guidance. All members will need to book a set time slot to use each area to ensure that we can keep track of the people using an area and the numbers who are in that area at any one time.
Q: How long can I stay in the gym?
A: Slots for the gym will be 45 minutes, but you can book two if you feel you need the extra time.
Q: How long can I stay in the pool?
A: We have divided up the slots in the pool, so that you will have 30 minutes to enjoy your swim.
Q: Are the changing room, showers and lockers available?
A: Changing rooms are available for members using the pool facilities. Changing rooms have been divided up into specific changing stations that are allocated to you to use. Each person will have an allocated time of 10 minutes for changing prior to entering the pool and 10 minutes after usage of the pool. Changing rooms will not be available for members using the gym facility.
There will be sanitiser sprays for customers to use within this area before using lockers. Unfortunately, you will also notice that for safety reasons showers, hairdryers and hair straighteners will not be available for use.
Q: Are all facilities on poolside available for use?
A: At present we cannot use the sauna or steam room. Keep checking our Facebook page and your emails for further updates.
Q: Are classes still running?
A: Not at present, but we will keep you updated on the status of these through email / Facebook.
Q: What will happen with my payments?
A: We will be starting our direct debit run as per normal on the 1st of each month. These will be at full membership prices from 1 November onwards.
Q: Can I cancel my membership?
A: Yes. If you wish to cancel your membership then it would be through the standard terms and conditions of your membership agreement. If you have any further questions regarding cancellation please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: Can I freeze my membership?

If you have any further questions regarding freezing your membership please contact us at email@example.com.
Q: Can I unfreeze my membership now that the gym is open again?
A: Yes you can unfreeze your membership, however you may need to make a manual payment in order to do this. Please email or give us a call to discuss this.
Q: Would I be able to have an induction or program?
A: Currently we are unable to provide a one-on-one service in the gym.
And to reassure you, here are some safety bits we thought you would like to know:
We will have barriers at our front desk to reduce the risk to you and our team of any transmission of COVID-19.
Hand sanitiser will be available to use at the main entrance to The Club and also at points throughout the building.
Our preference is for contactless payment and we will therefore be restarting member direct debits and have contactless payment at the front desk for any other payments.
We have removed a number of our normal services for when we reopen. This includes our towel membership. This means that you will need to bring your own towels to use within The Club.
We have also disabled hairdryers, showers and hair straighteners in the changing rooms.
We will be following government guidelines when it comes to cleaning the facilities and also spraying high-touch points throughout the day with sanitising spray.
Sanitising sprays and wipes will also be available throughout the facilities for you to use before and after using equipment, including in the changing areas.
All members will be asked to wear a face covering when entering the facilities.
We will have all your details for track and trace through our booking system.
